Acton Indoor Pool Mechanical Issue Fixed
Thank you for your patience during the recent mechanical issue at the Acton Indoor Pool. We are pleased to inform you that the water temperature has returned to its normal range. Effective Tuesday, May 19, all programs will resume as normally scheduled with the following adjustments:
Aqua Fitness
The spring season will be extended until Friday, June 26.
All 30-day memberships that were placed on hold during the interruption will be automatically reactivated. If you have any questions, please contact customer service at 905-877-4244 ext. 2700.
Swimming Lessons and Bronze Star
All missed lessons will be made up by extending the session by two weeks as follows:
- Tuesday evening lessons: resume May 19 and end June 23 (9 lessons total)
- Thursday evening lessons: resume May 21 and end June 25 (9 lessons total)
- Saturday morning lessons: resume May 23 and end June 20 (9 lessons total)
- Sunday morning lessons: resume May 24 and end June 21 (9 lessons total)

Seasonal Sports Field Closures |

Generally, all grass sports fields and diamonds open in April and are open until September. Outside of these dates, fields are closed for seasonal maintenance. This allows the fields to rest, especially during the wettest time of the year when the most damage can occur. During this time, park staff complete maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Please respect the sports field and diamond closures. Parks, trails, and outdoor spaces remain open for use. 2026 Field Dates:
Please note Hornby Park baseball diamond is currently closed to unscheduled maintenance. Permit holders will be provided updates directly. |
Inclement Weather Policy for Recreation Programs
Program cancellations are actively updated online during normal weekday operating hours. Recreation facility closures due to inclement weather or other causes will be communicated in the following ways:

If your program is organized through a third party, please contact your leagues for updates. On business days when inclement weather occurs, closure and cancellation decisions will be made for daytime programs by 7:00 a.m. for programs that start at 9:00 am or later, and for evening programs by 2:00 pm. |
