Online registration is now open for this program. Login or register to your online registration account and find the desired program under the ‘Advanced Lifesaving’ or ‘First Aid' headings. Complete your transaction online using a credit card. For those with limited computer access, we are happy to assist you by phone at 905-873-2600, ext. 2275. Staff is available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday to help answer any questions you may have about program selection, registration and COVID 19 precautions we have taken. Virtual Aquatic Supervisor TrainingPrerequisite: Current National Lifeguard or Current Lifesaving Instructor certification and 100 hours experience as a lifeguard and/or instructor. Aquatic Supervisor Training is for deck-level staff. This course provides the knowledge and skills to safely manage an aquatic environment. |

New this year, spring break for students of HDSB and HCDSB occurs April 12-16 when students will be out of class. In-person camp programs will not be offered this year.

What are spring break workshops? |
Spring break workshops are free, fun and interactive 45-minute workshops delivered through the ZOOM virtual meeting platform. Topics include Crafty Kids, Master Chefs, Mad Scientists, Dance and Yoga. |
How to register |
To register for a spring break workshop, log into your online account and search for 'workshops' under the Children's category. Follow the prompts to complete your registration. Note that while you must complete the online registration process, workshops are free. Online registration now open for virtual spring break workshops.

Crafty Kids Workshop - ages 6-12Get the crafting materials ready! Through this virtual workshop, participants will learn about and experiment with abstract art. Participants will complete a string art activity & a tissue paper craft. Participants will have the opportunity to express and their creativity!
Master Chefs Workshop - ages 9-12Young chefs will try their hand at making two classic recipes, each with a twist - quesadillas & pop-tarts! During this virtual workshop, participants will learn about kitchen safety, following a recipe, proper use of cooking tools and enjoy a cooking related game. All ingredients are nut-free.
Mad Scientists Workshop - ages 6-12Ever wonder what happens when you mix a little bit of this and a little bit of that? This virtual workshop, will encourage young scientists will explore the chemistry behind an experiment, using simple supplies from home. Participants will need to be ready to get a little messy and learn along the way!
Dance Workshop - ages 6-12Turn up the music and start grooving! Participants will have a blast during this high energy virtual workshop, while learning some classic dance steps. No dance experience needed, all levels welcome!
Yoga Workshop - ages 6-12Through movement, breath and relaxation young yoga students will explore strength, flexibility and self-awareness. This virtual workshop will be a fun mixture of postures, breathing and relaxation. No yoga experience needed, all levels welcome! |

Important information for virtual fitness
Not all exercises are suitable for everyone. Each person has a different capacity for participating in exercise. You should be aware of your fitness, health status, and skill level before commencing this exercise program. Part of the risk involved in undertaking any physical activity or exercise is relative to your own state of fitness or health status. If you are concerned about whether the exercises in this program are right for you, please consult with your physician or health care provider before beginning the program. If you experience any abnormal symptoms, cease the activity and immediately contact your physician or health care provider for follow-up. Accessing your virtual classYou will receive an email link to log in to the online class via the Zoom platform the day before your class is scheduled to start. This email will be the same as the one you use to log into your online registration account. If you don't see an email the day before your program, first check your 'junk mail' folder, or contact us using the information below.
