The Town of Halton Hills invites artists to submit work for exhibitions, events, public art proposals, and community-engaged art workshops. This page provides information and submission requirements for all current Town artist opportunities.
Youth Week Art Exhibit – Deadline: April 27, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

Culture Days 2026 – Regional Artist Project (Halton Municipalities) - Deadline: March 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
As a part of the Town's annual Youth Week celebrations happening in May, Thursday, May 7th, 2026, will be dedicated to celebrating the amazing youth art in Halton Hills through our Youth Week Art Exhibit. Art by local youth will be placed on display at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre & Library in the Sisnett Lobby throughout the month of May.
Art can include paintings, drawings, sketches, sculptures, and photography. The Youth Art Exhibit is open to youth ages 12-24 years old, youth can submit more than one art piece, and pieces do not need to be framed.

Halton Equity & Diversity Roundtable (HEDR) invites Halton Hills–based artists to submit original artwork exploring the theme of Intersectionality for use as the hero image in the 2026 conference, Small Town, Big Ideas: Intersectional Paths to Equity in Urban and Rural Communities.
This call is open to artists of all experience levels.
The Municipalities of Halton are seeking a multidisciplinary artist, artist team, or collective to lead an interactive, community-engaged arts activity as part of Culture Days 2026, September 18 - October 4.
This opportunity is open to Halton-based artists residing in Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills, or Burlington.
One artist or artist team will be awarded:

This opportunity is open to individual Halton-based artists, artist teams, or artist collectives living in Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills or Burlington, with experience in community arts programming.
The project will be participatory in nature and take place at predetermined indoor locations in each of the four municipalities.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older in order to apply. Established non-profit groups or organizations and previous participants selected through this program are not eligible to apply. Please note that current Town and City employees are not eligible to apply for this opportunity.
A selection panel of local artists, arts professionals and community members from the Municipalities of Halton will review all submissions and select the successful project. Once selected, the awarded applicant will work with Town/City staff to coordinate project logistics for each municipality. |

1. Project Proposal: Please submit a detailed, written project proposal (400 words maximum) that outlines your intentions and approach. This should include:
2. Budget: A budget of all anticipated project costs. This is intended to be preliminary in nature and, if successful, will be finalized upon acceptance of the proposal. The project includes a $2,200 artist commission and up to $1,800 in material costs.
3. Biography: Outlining relevant interests, experience and qualifications of the artist or artist team. Specify experience related to community arts programming. If you are submitting as part of a team, please include the biographies of all members (250 words maximum).
