The Town of Halton Hills issues Marriage Licences for those getting married in Ontario. They are valid for use only in the Province of Ontario for a period of 90 days from the date of issue. There are no residency or citizenship requirements to obtain a marriage licence in Ontario.
You must have a scheduled appointment to receive your marriage licence.

Bring valid identificationTwo pieces of original identification must be provided for both individuals. Photocopied identification is not acceptable. One of the two pieces of identification must be a birth certificate or valid passport.
Previously married applicantsIf a previous marriage was dissolved or annulled within Canada, one the following documents must be submitted:

We offer two types of civil ceremonies, one with a ring exchange and one without. Town staff will follow the script options below and personalized vows will not be offered. Please review the ceremony options as you will be required to select your ceremony type when booking. |
