Bob has represented the community of Georgetown since 1997, when he was first elected to Council. Before joining Council, Bob worked in several business sectors for almost 30 years, including computer and technical manufacturing and construction. Bob is a fourth generation resident of the Town of Halton Hills.
Bob entered public life with a goal to help the Town balance the different perspectives between town and country residents, and long-time residents compared with new arrivals. He continues to believe this balance is important, especially given the influx of people moving to the Town from across the Greater Toronto Area. Bob's hobby is beekeeping. He has about half a dozen hives, which allow him to spend time outdoors, pursuing an environmentally-friendly interest.
Bob has devoted considerable time to committee work and he currently sits on the Board of the Credit Valley Conservation Committee. His other commitments include membership on the following Town committees:
