Facilities
GELLERT POOL - CLOSED SEPTEMBER 3 - 15, 2024:
The Gellert Pool will be closed for programs and rentals from September 3 to 15 for annual maintenance. The pool will reopen Monday, September 16, 2024. The service desk will be open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Saturdays and Sundays. Outside washrooms remain open.
Parks
Hornby Park: The baseball diamond has been closed for the season due to the rainfall damage the park sustained on Tuesday July, 17, 2024. Once clean-up efforts have been completed, the park and will be reopened for playground and passive use.
Inclement Weather Policy for Recreation Programs
Program cancellations are actively updated online during normal weekday operating hours. Recreation facility closures due to inclement weather, or other causes will be communicated in the following ways:
During regular business hours |

Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

After hours and weekends |
If your program is organized through a third party, please contact your leagues for updates. On business days when inclement weather occurs, closure and cancellation decisions will be made for daytime programs by 7:00 a.m. for programs that start at 9:00 am or later, and for evening programs by 2:00 pm. |
