Serving the communities of Acton, Georgetown, and surrounding rural areas, our department provides essential fire and emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We work closely with residents, businesses, and community partners to reduce risk, respond effectively to emergencies, and support a safe and resilient community.

Message from the Fire Chief & Director of Emergency Services

Fire safety is a shared responsibility that begins long before an emergency occurs.

While Halton Hills Fire & Emergency Services is fully prepared to respond when incidents happen, our greatest impact comes from prevention, education, and preparation. Under Ontario’s Fire Protection and Prevention Act, modern fire services prioritise proactive fire prevention, public education, and community risk reduction alongside emergency response.

Our firefighters and staff conduct inspections, deliver safety programs, maintain equipment and facilities, and continuously train to meet the evolving needs of our community. These efforts help reduce the likelihood of emergencies and ensure we are ready to act when they do occur.
