This late nineteenth-century Gothic Revival Ontario Cottage is associated with the Wapshott and Lane families and contributes to the historic character of Maple Avenue in Georgetown.

The Town of Halton Hills intends to designate the Cook Estate at 11820 10 Side Road under the Ontario Heritage Act for its architectural, historical, and contextual significance. This late nineteenth-century Gothic Revival farmhouse is associated with the Cook and Barnes families and remains an important part of Ashgrove’s historic rural and agricultural landscape.
