Join the Town of Halton Hills and Credit Valley Conservation for a family-friendly workshop about phragmites, an invasive plant species.
Learn how to identify it, understand its impacts on wetlands and wildlife, and discover the efforts underway to manage its spread. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore the shoreline and take a closer look at this invasive species.
Arrive a few minutes early to enjoy free light refreshments before the event.
Background
In May 2019, Town Council declared a climate change emergency in Halton Hills. Through adoption of the declaration the Town is committed to taking actions to achieve a net-zero target by 2030 that supports a healthy environment.
