AIP Maintenance Issues:
The Acton indoor pool is currently experiencing mechanical issues, resulting in water temperatures that are noticeably cooler than normal. Our team is working hard to fix the issue. Because we are waiting on specific repairs, we anticipate this disruption will last approximately three weeks.
Aqua Fitness classes are cancelled at Acton Indoor Pool until the situation is rectified. Classes at the Gellert Community Centre are running as scheduled.

Aqua fitness is for everyone! Unlike other water-based exercise, swimming technique and skill is not a pre-requisite. There are physical benefits for all fitness levels, from low-impact therapy and recovery to high energy programs. In aqua fit, there is no fear of falling or impact-related injuries. Deep WaterModerate to intense total body workout including cardiovascular and muscle strengthening exercises. Must be comfortable in deep water. Floatation belts are provided and worn during class. Gentle Aqua FitLow level, low impact, low intensity water fitness class. It is ideal for older adults, participants with arthritis, those recovering from injuries or anyone who is looking to start working out. Running H2OStart running in the pool! An excellent way to cross-train or rehab an injury. This class will help improve water running technique, form and endurance. An excellent, impact-free cardio workout. You don’t have to be a swimmer as we supply your flotation belt and tether (must be comfortable in deep water). Get ready to sweat! Shallow / Deep Water CombinedParticipants can choose to do this class in the deep or shallow water. The instructor will adapt exercises to meet participant needs. Use the resistance of water to stretch, form and strengthen your muscles. Suitable for all fitness levels. |
