HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town of Halton Hills is pleased to announce that the Community Grant Program (CGP) is now open for 2026, and is accepting applications until February 27 at 4:00 p.m. Eligible local not-for-profit organizations, neighbourhood groups, and community partners are invited to apply for funding to support local projects, events and initiatives that build and strengthen volunteer capacity, and contribute to a vibrant, connected and sustainable Halton Hills.
The 2026 Community Grant Program replaces the previous funding programs – (the Community Partnership Program and the Climate Change Investment Fund). Refreshed based on stakeholder and community feedback, the new and improved Community Grant Program is streamlined and will continue to provide effective support to local initiatives. The new program has four funding streams:
“The Community Grant Program invests in projects by non-profit organizations which contribute to a caring, connected and resilient community,” said Mayor Ann Lawlor. “Whether local volunteers are planning a neighbourhood project, organizing a special event, taking action to improve our environment, or launching a new community initiative, this program helps bring great ideas to life”.
The Community Grant Program reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to strategically leverage community dollars, strengthen local partnerships, and support local volunteer-driven events, projects and initiatives.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the Town’s website at haltonhills.ca/communitygrantprogram to review the application guidelines, and to apply to the funding stream most suitable for their event, project or initiative. Town staff are available to answer questions and support application inquires throughout the application window.
The Town of Halton Hills will host a Community Grant Program Open House on January 29 at the Mold-Masters Sportsplex (Alcott Hall). Community organizations are invited to drop in, learn about available funding streams, key dates, and to speak directly with staff for guidance and support throughout the application process.
