HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town continues to work to ensure that Town programs and services are accessible and meet the needs of Halton Hills’ growing and changing community. As part of this work, the Town has completed an internal review of its policies, programs, and services. The next step is to hear from you, the residents!
The Town’s “Safe and Welcoming Community” initiative is focused on fostering a community where everyone feels welcomed, safe and connected.
“Ensuring services are accessible and policies are equitable to all is important,” said Mayor Lawlor. “Municipal programs and services should be designed for the demographics and lives of all our residents.”
The Town has engaged consultants INclusion INcorporated to lead various community engagement opportunities for residents, including pop-up booths at the Acton and Georgetown Markets on June 12 and 14.
As part of this project, residents are invited to take the survey available through letstalkhaltonhills.ca. Survey inputs are anonymous with raw data provided only to the consultants and aggregated (high level) data) provided to the Town.
Recruitment is also underway for 5 focus groups targeted to the following audiences with lived experience:
