HALTON HILLS, ON – Following a rigorous recruitment process, Bronwyn Parker has been selected as the new Commissioner of Planning. An employee since 2017 with over 21 years of progressive municipal experience, Parker brings deep local knowledge to the role.
“I look forward to working with Bronwyn in her expanded leadership role,” said Chris Mills, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town. “Bronwyn is a familiar face to Council, and we welcome her continued expertise navigating complex planning files.”
Parker’s municipal career includes working for the Town of Milton from 2004-2017 and more recently, serving as the Director of Planning Policy for Halton Hills.
“Bronwyn has been providing strategic planning advice to Council for many years,” said Mayor Ann Lawlor. “Her regulatory knowledge combined with her passion for thoughtful engagement will serve Halton Hills well as we manage how and where growth in our community will occur.”
Parker’s first day as Commissioner is May 14.
The Town of Halton Hills, with a population of approximately 64,000, consists of two urban centres, Georgetown and Acton, the Halton Hills Premier Gateway employment area, three hamlets – Glen Williams, Stewarttown and Norval – and several smaller settlements.
