HALTON HILLS, ON – The Helson Gallery is thrilled to present the exhibit "Perspectives: Exploring the Town of Halton Hills’ Art Collections," on display until March 23. This exhibition features a curated selection of art from the esteemed Helson Collection, presented in pairings with more modern works carefully selected from the Town and Public Library’s art collections to explore connections and help to see the artworks in new ways.
The exhibition showcases both historical and contemporary pieces, examining their visual, thematic and contextual similarities. By thoughtfully comparing paintings from the Helson Collection with works from the library and Town collection, the exhibit provides unique perspectives into these selected artworks. We invite the public to explore these treasures.
“Come and enjoy the spectacular art that generous donors such as Fred Helson have given our residents,” said Mayor Lawlor. “The Town's art collection is a treasure that inspires and uplifts, even on chilly winter days.”
The Helson Gallery is located at 9 Church Street, Halton Hills and is open Wednesday to Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m.
