HALTON HILLS, ON – On Wednesday, May 13, the Town of Halton Hills came together to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of its volunteers at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre & John Elliott Theatre. The evening was filled with inspiration, recognition, and heartfelt celebration, honoring those who bring joy, positivity, and connectedness to the community.
Guests were inspired by Unstoppable Tracy, whose remarkable journey from World Cup sailing to scaling the Himalayas as a four-way amputee demonstrated that limits exist only to be overcome. Tracy, recently recognized as a leader in both business and sport, delivered her signature “Lim[b]itless” message, encouraging all attendees to embrace perseverance and resilience in every aspect of life.
The evening also featured light refreshments, entertainment, and greetings from Mayor Ann Lawlor on behalf of Council, highlighting the role volunteers play in making Halton Hills a thriving and connected community.
“Tonight, we celebrate the selfless contributions of our volunteers, whose commitment makes our community stronger every day,” said Mayor Lawlor. “Their impact is unstoppable, and this event is our way of saying thank you.”
The Town of Halton Hills extends its sincere gratitude to all volunteers for their dedication and energy in creating a more vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community.

The Town of Halton Hills, with a population of approximately 64,000, consists of two urban centres, Georgetown and Acton, the Halton Hills Premier Gateway employment area, three hamlets – Glen Williams, Stewarttown and Norval – and several smaller settlements.
