Inspection Booking Request
Inspections are required at key stages of construction to ensure work meets the Ontario Building Code and approved permit drawings.
All required inspections must be completed before a project can be finalized.
When Inspections Are Required
Inspections are required at various stages, which may include:
- Footings and foundations
- Framing
- Plumbing and HVAC
- Insulation
- Final inspection
Your permit documents identify required inspections for your project.
How to Book an Inspection
To book an inspection, you will need:
- Building permit number
- Property address
- Type of inspection requested
- Preferred inspection date
Inspections must be booked in advance.
Before the Inspector Arrives
Ensure that:
- Work is ready for inspection
- Approved plans are available on site
- Safe access is provided
Missed or failed inspections may result in re‑inspection fees and project delays.
Cancelling or Rescheduling an Inspection
If you need to cancel or reschedule, notify Building Services as soon as possible.
