Maintaining a Safe and Respectful Community
A municipal by-law is a regulatory law passed by the Town under the authority of a provincial act. By-laws are created to address local issues and concerns in our community.
Reporting By-Law Concerns
The Town's municipal law enforcement officers are responsible for enforcing all municipal by-laws. The Town's Enforcement Services Policy provides guidance on how Enforcement Services will handle complaints, investigate issues, and initiate enforcement proceedings.
If you believe an infraction has occurred and wish to report it, please complete an Enforcement Service Request. Enforcement Services does not take anonymous complaints, and all information is collected and protected under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). If you need immediate, emergency assistance outside of business hours, contact Halton Regional Police Service.
