Premier Gateway Phase 2B

The Town of Halton Hills has completed the Phase 2B Employment Area Integrated Planning Project (also referred to as a Secondary Plan). The Premier Gateway Phase 2B covers approximately 257 hectares and is located north of Steeles Avenue, between Eighth Line and Winston Churchill Boulevard, in Halton Hills.

JULY 2026 UPDATE: The Premier Gateway Phase 2B Zoning By-law was approved by Council on July 13th, 2026.
The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to incorporate zoning standards for the subject lands to allow primarily for prestige industrial uses such as manufacturing, warehousing, industrial malls, advanced technology establishments, and business and professional offices. MAY 2025 UPDATE: Settlement approved for the Premier Gateway Phase 2B Secondary Plan Appeals

OCTOBER 2023 UPDATE: Adoption of Official Plan Amendment No. 50 Premier Gateway Phase 2B Secondary Plan
On October 10, 2023, the Council for the Town of Halton Hills adopted by-law 2023-0089, Official Plan Amendment No. 50, regarding the Premier Gateway Phase 2B Secondary Plan. Background information

Study Purpose

The Premier Gateway Phase 2B area is planned to accommodate employment until 2031. The purpose of the project is to develop a comprehensive Secondary Plan with appropriate land use designations and policies. A Scoped Subwatershed Study and a series of other technical studies will be prepared to better understand the opportunities and constraints to development.

The Study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act. Transportation and water and wastewater servicing master plans and the Scoped Subwatershed Study are being carried out in accordance with the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act.
