Court Sports
Court sports in Halton Hills provide opportunities for residents to stay active, socialize and hone their skills. The Town operates outdoor tennis and pickleball courts for the public and use by Community Clubs. In addition, arena floor space is used for indoor gameplay during the operating season.
The outdoor court season operates April 15 – October 15, weather permitting. Our staff regularly inspect the courts, but if you notice damage or vandalism, please call: 905-873-2600 ext. 2603. If you are calling after regular hours please call 905-873-2600 stay on the line to get the answering service – your call will be directed to after-hours staff.

Outdoor Tennis & Pickleball Court Locations
Court sports are offered at indoor and outdoor recreation facilities across Halton Hills. Court features and availability vary by location.
- Emmerson Park:
- 52 Carruthers Road, Georgetown
- 1 shared tennis court, 2 permanent pickleball courts and 4 shared pickleball courts
- Eighth Line Park:
- 10241 Eighth Line, Georgetown
- 6 permanent tennis courts
- Joseph Gibbons Park:
- 77 Weber Drive, Georgetown
- 2 shared tennis courts and 3 shared pickleball courts
- Prospect Park:
- 30 Park Avenue, Acton
- 2 permanent tennis court,1 shared tennis court, 1 shared pickleball court and 4 permanent pickleball courts

Court rules and regulations
• Wear appropriate footwear for play
• Keep food and glass containers outside the court area
• Limit play to 30 minutes if others are waiting
• Do not hold courts by placing racquets or other objects on the courts
• No ball hockey, roller hockey, lacrosse, skateboards, inline skating or bicycles
• Please clean up after yourself
• No dogs allowed on the courts

Several clubs and associations within Halton Hills offer competitive play, training programs, lessons and workshops for newer or younger players. We recommend visiting club websites to learn more.

Borrowing Equpiment
Want to try a new sport but don't own the equipment yet? Borrow it from our lending library! We're working with the Halton Hills Public Library to make Tennis and Pickleball equipment available for residents to borrow using their library card. Items include portable nets, paddles/racquets, balls and more.
Indoor Pickleball
Indoor Pickleball operates during the summer season when arena floor pads are converted to floor pads. Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. For adults 18 yrs or over. Beginners welcome! Please bring your own paddle and water bottle with you (glass prohibited).
Court Sports Strategy
In December 2021, the Court Sports Strategy for Outdoor Tennis and Pickleball was approved by Council. The Court Sports Strategy sets the strategic direction for the delivery of services and facilities for tennis and pickleball over the next 10 years.
