In response to COVID-19, the Town of Halton Hills has formed the Community Support Action Team (CSAT) in partnership with Halton Region, surrounding municipalities and local organizations/agencies. The purpose of CSAT is to provide aid to the community’s most vulnerable during this time of need.
In past weeks, Access Halton (311) and Public Health have played a central role in responding to public inquiries. In an effort to assist, the CSAT has developed a registry of resources available to residents who cannot access essential goods through other support networks; are self-isolating due to compromised immune status; are financially insecure, or are experiencing mental health challenges due to isolation.
Residents in need are encouraged to contact Service Halton Hills at 905-873-2600 or email email@example.com and staff will direct their call to the appropriate agency on the support registry. Services offered through the registry include food security, mental health support, housing, youth services, active living and community safety.
Visit the Town’s COVID-19 Share the Care page on Let's Talk Halton Hills to share your experiences and spread the word about local organizations and agencies working to support the vulnerable. Town staff is closely monitoring the page and will consider additional organizations that could benefit the registry.
