Town Announces Opening of Miller Drive Park Skate Spot
HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town of Halton Hills is pleased to announce the opening of the new skate spot at 87 Miller Drive in Georgetown. The project was identified through the Georgetown Action Sports Needs Assessment and provides a local, walkable and rollable destination where residents can develop their skills, be active and enjoy outdoor recreation close to home.
“I’m delighted that we have been able to provide another local recreational opportunity for our youth,” said Mayor Lawlor. “The addition of this skate spot adds another high-quality facility in Halton Hills and further demonstrates the Town’s commitment to supporting the needs of all our residents.”
Designed by NewLine Skateparks in consultation with the surrounding neighbourhood and local skate community, construction was completed by local contractor Grade Control Hardscapes Ltd.
The Miller Drive Park skate spot complements other skateboarding opportunities across Halton Hills. Residents can learn more about the Town’s action sports facilities here.
