Acton GO Station Phased Parking Lot Closures

The Town of Halton Hills is sharing the following construction notice from Metrolinx.

August 24 to October 2026

What is happening? 

The parking lot at Acton GO Station will be undergoing repaving work as part of Metrolinx's network-wide State of Good Repair program. The work will be carried out in phases starting August 24 until October 2026. 

• Parking spots designated for the Acton Medical & Urgent Care Clinic will be relocated during some of the phases. Signage will be in place to identify the new designated spots. 
• Additional parking is available at Georgetown GO station, approximately a 20-minute drive from the Acton GO station. 
• Wayfinding and directional signage will be in place to guide customers and remind pedestrians to use caution around construction areas. 
• Closure dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Hours of work:

• Work is expected to take place Monday to Friday (and some Saturdays) between 7a.m. and 5p.m. PEDESTRIAN, TRAFFIC AND TRANSIT DETAILS 
• There are no anticipated impacts to pedestrians, motorists or transit service. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

What to expect:

• Residents can expect some noise, vibration and dust
• Staff will take reasonable precautions to minimize disturbances to residents and commuters, including but not limited to the following:
  • Reduced idling of non-essential equipment.
  • The work area will be safely secured.
  • White noise back up alarms on vehicles and machinery as required.
