Halton Hills has been chosen as the host municipality to launch the new season of Rogers Hometown Hockey! On October 5 and 6, enjoy a free family-friendly hockey celebration featuring live entertainment, NHL alumni, local celebrities and hockey-themed activities for all ages. All events take place outside Mold-Masters SportsPlex at 221 Guelph St. The festival culminates with an outdoor viewing party of a national NHL game broadcast hosted live by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Sportsnet, Canada’s Home of Hockey. On Sunday October 6 at 6 p.m., attendees are encouraged to wear their jerseys and celebrate the Town during the public viewing of the New York Islanders versus Winnipeg Jets broadcast.

On-site parking is not available; parking is available at the Georgetown Marketplace (mall)
Activan Service will be running to accommodate residents with special needs and disabilities
Free shuttle service – Two bus loops with pick up and drop off every half hour
Drop off/pick up zone – A drop off/pick up zone will be available through the weekend at Mold-Masters Sportsplex for hockey participants and residents with disabilities (limited on-site special needs parking in the north lot of Mold-Masters Sportsplex is also available.)

Join the Parade of our local Halton Hills teams! On Sunday October 6th at approximately 6pm, all teams will be ushered into the broadcast area. Sign up today by contacting Amy Townsend, 905-873-2601 x2257.
Local minor hockey teams and all sports/community associations are invited to march in a parade of champions
The teams will gather in a designated location on Sinclair Ave and march to Mold-Masters SportsPlex
Teams will be filmed by the Sportsnet broadcast team live
Sunday October 6th at approximately 6 p.m. (Lineup begins at 5:30 p.m. on Sinclair Ave.)
Teams wear their jerseys and showcase their team spirit and passion for the game of hockey to all of Canada.

September 24th will be Rogers Hometown Hockey Day, at all elementary schools in Halton Hills. Schools are invited to show their support for this exciting community event by:
Hosting a Jersey Day/ Red and White Day
Students are encouraged to celebrate their spirit by wearing their favourite athletic jersey to school. If students don't have a jersey, we encourage students to wear red and white as we aim to “Paint the Town Red and White” leading up to the festival weekend
Fill the Net Food Drive Challenge
Schools are encouraged to host a food drive and fill up a hockey net. The school with the most number of food items (per capita) will win a special school assembly on October 4th with the Rogers® Hometown Hockey crew.
Food donations will be donated to the local food banks; Georgetown Bread Basket and Acton Food Share.
Set up a collection site in the atrium of your school. Be creative and make it visually appealing! It is encouraged that a hockey net is used to ‘Fill the Net.’ Upon receiving confirmation of your schools participation in the initiative, a poster & collection bags will be provided.
Begin collecting items as soon as possible. All items must be collected by end of the day on September 24th.

The winning school will be announced on September 25th by 4.30pm. All participating schools will be notified via email.
The winning school will need to be prepared to host an assembly on October 4th. Please see the details on the coming pages to ensure your school is prepared to host the assembly, as there are specific requirements.
Food donations will be picked up on September 30th.
