Specialty Instructor Fitness - Part-Time (202609)

Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator - Active Living, this position is responsible for the design and delivery of a sessional specialty group fitness class. The Specialty Professional Instructor will be prepared for each class and ensure the program is led in a safe, fun and effective manner.

Accountabilities:

  • Inspect program area and equipment to ensure space is prepared, safe and welcoming

  • Deliver a high-quality fitness class in a professional and pleasant manner, adhering to the program outline and scheduled time

  • Supervise participants and remain actively involved in the program at all times

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding participant information

  • Tend to any incidents or personal injuries as required and complete and forward documentation to the Recreation Coordinator

Qualifications: 

  • Current certification with a recognized organization, such as; Yoga 200 hours, Pilates Instructor training, Tai Chi Instructor training, Certified  

    Teacher of Dance; Ballroom Dance Instructor

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR 

Position Details:

Compensation: 

The rate of pay for this part time position is $40.60 - $48.34 per hour.
