Upon completion of the project you must notify Transportation and Public Works at 905-873-2601 Ext. 2200 to schedule an inspection. For this permit to be closed and the securities returned, all work must be completed to the satisfaction of the Director of Infrastructure Services.
How it works?
Once the Building Permit is closed, a staff member from the Engineering section will inspect the site to determine if any damage has occurred within the Town Right-of-Way as a result of the construction.
Should damages occur, the owner will be given the opportunity to repair the damages at their expense to the satisfaction of the Director of Transportation and Public Works.
Should the owner choose not to complete the repairs then the cost for the Town to complete the repairs will be taken from the Damage Deposit. The balance less administration fees will be refunded.
