Bring your questions and meet your Ward 2 Councillors and Mayor on Wednesday, June 5 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Glen Williams Town Hall located at 1 Prince Street. Accessory Dwelling Units Public Meeting

The Town's Planning Department will host a public meeting at the June 17th Council meeting to review the Town's policy on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). Staff will present background information on the review, outline required and optional changes to the current Town policy on ADUs and listen to public concerns on current policy and proposed changes.

Intensification Opportunities

Over the coming years in Halton Hills, growth is expected in our urban areas - this is called intensification. We want to hear your ideas to help us plan for this development. How should we accommodate more residents, and what's your vision for your town? You can make your voice heard by taking our Intensification Survey. Where should developments be located; would you like to see more townhouses or rental apartment buildings? What factors should we consider as we move into the future?

Glen Williams Park - Park Pavilion

The existing concession building in Glen Williams Park needs to be removed due to its age and condition. This fall, the Town of Halton Hills Recreation & Parks Department would like to replace the concession building with a new park pavilion, and we would like your feedback. Preliminary design information and a survey have been prepared for your review and input.
Your feedback will help define the final design direction.

  ATMP

Active Transportation Master Plan

The Town of Halton Hills is developing an Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP) to develop a network of continuous and connected routes made up of on and off-road facilities that prioritize safety and consider a range of users. The ATMP will also address barriers to active transportation such as trucking routes, topography, missing link, environmental features, etc. Help us shape our ATMP by sharing your thoughts and suggestions.

  Culture RFP for Public Art

Call to Artists - Banner Project, Temporary Public Art

Halton Hills invites professional Canadian artists to submit a proposal for original artwork for a temporary public art project of outdoor banners. The selected artist will be responsible for developing seven original artworks on the theme of sustainability. Multiple copies of the banners will be fabricated and displayed in various locations across the Town to create a unified and captivating visual presence from January to June 2020. This is the first project to be completed under the Town's new Public Art Master Plan.
Deadline to apply is June 11 at 9 a.m. Contact publicart@haltonhills.ca with any questions.

Join the Town's Award-Winning Culture Days Event

Get involved in Culture Days 2019. This national celebration of arts and culture will take place on September 27, 28 & 29, 2019. There are many ways to participate:

  • Put on your own Culture Days activity
  • Host an artist in your space
  • Involve your workplace in Culture Days by volunteering
  • Be a sponsor

The Town of Halton Hills and the Halton Hills Public Library are offering FREE venue space for artists and arts and cultural groups, organizations and businesses to present an activity. To be a part of Culture Days, activities must be free and participatory. For more information contact culture@haltonhills.ca.
