Municipal Election Results

Mayor Rick Bonnette Reelected


Rick Bonnette won fifth term as Halton Hills mayor with over 80 per cent of the votes in the municipal election held on Monday, October 22, 2018. Council members remain the same except for Council elect, Wendy Farrow-Reed, who won a seat as a councillor in Ward 3, over longtime Councillor Dave Kentner. She and longtime Councillor Moya Johnson will represent the ward. Councillor Jane Fogal continues to be regional representative for Wards 3 and 4.

Amending Interim Bylaw

parkland dedication bylaw


During Town staff reviews of recent medium and high density planning applications, issues emerged with respect to the cash-in-lieu (CIL) of parkland amounts and processes. The amount calculated was significantly higher than historic amounts. As a result, staff is seeking Council direction to prepare an amending interim to the Parkland Dedication By-law.

Lest we Forget

On November 11 at 11 a.m., World War One ended in 1918. Remembrance Day is recognized with memorial events and a two-minute silence to remember people who died in wars and fought for the freedom we enjoy today.
