New Interactive Zoning Information

The Town of Halton Hills has launched a new zoning tool which links to the 2010-0050 Comprehensive Zoning By-law, as well as a new interactive zoning map that provides the ability to search for Zoning Designation by address. Click here for step-by-step guidance.

Scale up program

Scale-Up Platform

FedDev Ontario is investing over $50 Million in Scale-Up Platform over the next five years. The investment will partner three of Ontario's top innovation hubs (Kitchener, Toronto and Ottawa) to help 30 Ontario companies scale-up and achieve revenues of $100 Million or more each.

Work with industry leaders to develop a comprehensive export plan and prepare for long-term export success! The Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) provides companies with access to Canada's top exporting advisors, resources and contacts, giving them training and support to become successful international traders in their specific business sector. This $5,000 program value is now being offered for just $495.

Canada Export Challenge

Canada Export Challenge

Startup Canada, UPS, Export Development Canada, and the Trade Commissioner Service are coming together to support a cohort of 1,500 Canadian businesses to scale and succeed globally in 2019 as part of the Canadian Global Entrepreneur Cohort. Have a chance to 'pitch-to-win' $2,500 and a trip to Toronto for a further chance to win $25,000 and up to an additional $100,000 in in-kind scaling support.

CIP Awards Another Facade Grant

The Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is a successful program that supports the revitalization, redevelopment, renewal and private-sector investment in particular areas of Halton Hills through financial incentives. The CIP supports the retention and growth of business, job creation, downtown vitality and generates other spinoff benefits. 2019 funding is now available for projects such as facade improvements, industrial landscaping, conversion of underutilized spaces, environmental site assessments and more. Digital Main Street

Digital Main Street Grant Opportunity

Digital Main Street is a digital 'how to' guide and program to help you grow your business. The program is supported by a Provincial grant for 'main street' businesses and is administered by the Ontario BIA Association (OBIAA). The Digital Transformation Grant Program (DTGP) provides $2,500 to each qualifying main street Ontario business to purchase and adopt digital tools and technologies. There are 2,000 grants available until March 2020 on a first-qualified-first-served basis.

Ontario Tourism Dev. Fund

Ontario Tourism Development Fund

Ontario's Tourism Development Fund provides non-capital, project-based funding to initiatives that support tourism investment, product development and industry capacity building. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and should be submitted a minimum of four months prior to the start of a project.




Tourism-Oriented Directional Signing (TODS) program

Signs on Ontario's roadways make it easier for residents, visitors and tourists to find local accommodations, tourist attractions and services. To determine if your business is eligible for this program, contact Stephanie Mazhari, Manager of Entrepreneurship Services at 905-825-6000 ext. 7229.

Culture By the Numbers

Statistics Canada has published new data on provincial and Territorial Culture Indicators (PTCI) for the period of 2010 to 2017. This data indicates that the culture GDP in Canada increased 1.8% to $53.1 billion in 2017. Culture accounted for 3.6% of all jobs in the economy.

Acton and Georgetown Farmers' Markets have once again launched for the season, June through October. On Thursday afternoons, visit Willow Street North, Acton (Acton) and on Saturday mornings, visit Main Street South, Georgetown (Georgetown), for fresh-picked, local produce that you can serve on your table that same evening.
