The Town of Halton Hills launched a new Economic Development website, investhaltonhills.com. With a goal to support business retention and expansion, encourage foreign direct investment (FDI), and foster entrepreneurship and business creation, the design allows business investors to navigate the website with ease.
All Economic Development related information previously hosted on the Town’s website has been transferred to the new “Invest” website, including information on the popular Community Improvement Program, links to tourism resources and Shop Local information.
The website has a modern look with appealing visual elements and includes features such as events, business news, investment FAQs, and multilingual capabilities to encourage interest from international companies.
Designed specifically for use by regional and international business investors, the website follows economic development best practices and positions Halton Hills among larger municipalities in the GTA and across Canada. An abridged version of the website, investHHCanada.com, is translated into simplified Chinese and supports the Town’s sister city relationship with Wenjiang, China while encouraging bilateral trade.
“The new economic development-focused website is geared towards helping the town raise its competiveness in the global economy and attract foreign direct Investment,” said Mayor Bonnette. “The website demonstrates the high quality of life here in Halton Hills, which helps to attract the high-quality employers we are targeting.”
