HALTON HILLS, ON - Another beautiful park in Halton Hills officially opens this Thursday, with free ice cream as just one of the many attractions.
Residents are invited to attend a celebration on Thursday, July 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at West Branch Drive Park, 55 West Branch Drive, Georgetown. Hosted by the Town of Halton Hills, the event includes an interactive percussion experience, complimentary ice cream, fitness demonstrations, lawn games, a scavenger hunt and a guided nature walk.
“I’m excited to welcome residents to this beautiful park, and enjoy the day’s festivities: the free ice cream couldn’t be more welcome in this heat”, said Mayor Rick Bonnette. “The park provides a variety of opportunities to be active; climbing on the playground, shooting hoops on the court, running in the field, biking on the trails or exercising on the fitness equipment. These amenities further demonstrate our commitment to increasing physical activity opportunities to support a healthy lifestyle for all ages.”
