The exhibition is open to artists residing in Halton Hills or those who are members of local arts organizations. Works should be completed within the past 24 months and should not have been previously exhibited at the Gallery or Cultural Centre. Original works in all media are eligible to a maximum of 48 inches in any dimension. Lockable cases are available for display of three dimensional works. You may offer your work for sale but it is not a criteria for eligibility. Please note that the Town of Halton Hills takes a 20% commission (plus HST on 20%) on any art sales.

Calling Plein Air Painters: Plein Air Painting Challenge at Prospect Park in Acton
Acton’s Prospect Park is a gem for Plein Air Painters. Surrounded by Fairy Lake, there is also a small wetland area, community garden and historic cemetery all in the immediate vicinity; several nearby streets in downtown Acton offer interesting heritage homes and architecture.
Registration: 8:45 – 9:30 a.m. Painting starts at 9:30. Medium of your choice. You may offer your work for sale.
12:30 pm: You must be back at the registration area to prepare your work for judging. Judging begins at 12:45. At 2 pm prizes will be announced. $500 in prizes to be awarded.
Juror: Steve Wilson. An Elected Member of the Society of Canadian Artists, Member of the Colour and Form Society, Member of the Ontario Society of Artists; Councilor at Large, OSA Board. Artist, Teacher, Juror, Steve has been actively involved in the art community for many years.
Registration fee: $10; No charge for Members of the Ontario Plein Air Society (OPAS membership: $30).
