OPA 30 - Premier Gateway Employment Area - Replacement Employment Lands
The purpose of Official Plan Amendment No. 30 (OPA 30) is:
to identify up to 75 ha of additional land for employment uses to be added to the Town's Urban Area adjacent to the Phase 1B Premier Gateway Employment Area.
to replace the shortfall of employment lands within the Town to the 2021 planning horizon, as a result of lands being lost to corridor protection for the Greater Toronto Area West/Halton-Peel Boundary Area Transportation Study (GTA West/HPBATS).
The Town is preparing this Official Plan Amendment in conjunction with a related Regional Official Plan Amendment (known as ROPA 47). Information regarding the Region's work can be found
Public Information Centre:
The Town and Halton Region jointly held an informal Public Information Centre (PIC) on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Hillcrest United Church, 8958 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. Interested residents and members of the public had the opportunity to view information, ask questions and provide feedback to staff at both the local and Regional level.

Premier Gateway Phase 1B Employment Area Secondary Plan Study
The Premier Gateway Phase 1B Employment Area Secondary Plan Study will develop appropriate land use designations and policies for the Phase 1B Employment Area. The Study Area includes the Phase 1B Area and the lands which are being considered through OPA 30 as replacement employment lands.
