Mayor Rick Bonnette

Welcome to the Town of Halton Hills World Wide Web site. Halton Hills is an amalgamated community with a population of 55,000, situated northwest of Toronto. Halton Hills is comprised of two urban centers, Georgetown and Acton, surrounded by a natural rural area which includes three Hamlets - Glen Williams, Stewarttown, and Norval. The rural area also includes the settlement clusters of Limehouse, Ballinafad, Ashgrove, Hornby, and Whaley's Corners.
People choose to live in Halton Hills as a result of our natural beauty, charm, healthy environment, recreation amenities, and growing employment opportunities. Our community borders Highways 401, 407 and Regional Road 25, for easy access to any center. With the advantage of being located at the intersection of Ontario's two main highways, the newly serviced 401 / 407 Gateway Business Park is poised for growth. We have a strong business sector and prosperous farming industry. In the Spring of 2004, the Gellert Community Centre was officially opened adding a new dimension to the recreational opportunities in our town.
Halton Hills offers the best of both worlds: Urban amenities with the quiet small town lifestyle. Whether you choose to visit, work, or live here, we offer a lifestyle that is the envy of all.
Sincerely,
Mayor Rick Bonnette.
