Notice of The Passing of a Development Charges By-Law |
| TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Halton Hills passed Amendment to the Development Charges By-law No. 2007-0083 on the 23rd day of August 2010 under Section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997 for the purpose of adding an exempt for the expansion of industrial structures that have been in operation for greater than 5 years. AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal the amendment to the Ontario Municipal Board under Section 14 of the Act by filing with the Clerk of the Town of Halton Hills, on or before 4:30 p.m. on the 4th day of October 2010, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the amendment and the reasons supporting the objection. The exemption under the amendment will become effective on the 24th day of August 2010. A key map showing the lands to which the by-law applies is not provided as the by-law imposes development charges with respect to all lands within the Town of Halton Hills. A copy of the amendment to By-law 2007-0083 is available for examination during regular business hours (weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) in the office of the Clerk at The Town of Halton Hills Civic Centre, 1 Halton Hills Drive, Georgetown.
