    Illegal Dumping

    When someone puts waste materials on Town or private property without the permission of the property owner, it is considered illegal dumping.
    If you notice waste on municipal property please note:

    • The address
    • The specific location (on a road, curb, park bench, etc.)
    • The type of waste (containers, bags, large objects, etc.)

    Please call Public Works 905-873-2601 Ext. 2603
    If you see someone dumping waste illegally, please call Halton Regional Police (911) immediately.

    This is considered a criminal offence, and the perpetrator will be fined.


    Examples of illegal dumping include:

    • Dumping bulk items like couches, bags of household waste and construction materials along the roadside, sidewalks, or parks.
    • Placing household waste in park or street waste containers.
    • Placing waste and/or materials in a construction site.

     

    Scheduled garbage, recycling, and green cart removal is maintained by the Region of Halton.
