    Georgetown GO Land Use Study

    Project Overview

Lands in the vicinity of the Georgetown GO station exhibit long-term redevelopment potential, as well as possessing constraints to redevelopment and proximity to established residential neighbourhoods. In keeping with the Town's commitment to environmental stewardship, intensification near the GO station is sustainable, convenient and could provide residents with new amenities in an appropriate location. Redevelopment of the Georgetown GO station area is also an important opportunity for downtown Georgetown. Improved links to the downtown, combined with more frequent GO transit service, could make both the downtown and the GO station area more vibrant as a place to live, work and shop.

The GO Station Secondary Plan is now in full force and effect, having been approved by Halton Region with modifications. See report PDS-2011-0059.
