Miller Drive Bike Lane
Miller Drive Bike Lane Implementation supports one of the Town of Halton Hills’ strategic goals: “To ensure the use of appropriate design strategies to create safe communities.” The Town is committed to improving public safety as outlined in Council’s Cycling Master Plan. This project also advances the Community Sustainability Strategy, specifically its focus areas of: infrastructure, land use, air quality, greenhouse gas emission, and transportation.
“The Cycling Master Plan has been developed in response to various policies and initiatives, as well as, to establish for the Towns its own vision for the future of cycling in Halton Hills. The recommended cycling network builds upon a vision for cycling developed by the Halton Hills Cycling Committee, which states that cycling should be adopted and supported by residents, businesses and community organizations because the plan is developed in consultation with the public and meets the social, economic and physical needs of Halton Hills.”
