Media Relations
Public Education Staff are responsible for preparing and distributing public notices to be distributed by the local media. Staff prepare assorted media releases in relation to the Fire Service that include "seasonal" releases such as "Christmas Fire Safety" and "Change your Clock – Change your Smoke Alarm Batteries". Staff also prepares media releases that address concerns in the community such as "Smoke Alarms" or "Carbon Monoxide Alarms" as well as a Weekly Incident Summary that local media outlets use in their newspapers, T.V. Programs or Radio Programs.
