Joint Compliance Audit Committee
In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the Town of Halton Hills has established a Joint Compliance Audit Committee, in partnership with the Halton Region, the City of Burlington, the Town of Milton and the Town of Oakville.
The purpose of this Committee is to review and respond to compliance audit applications from eligible electors who believe, on reasonable ground, that a candidate has contravened the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (MEA) relating to election campaign finances.
Those wishing to complete a Compliance Audit Application for a candidate (2014 Municipal Election) for the Town of Halton Hills Municipal Town Council must meet the above noted criteria. Applications are to be completed and forwarded to the Town Clerk.
