Discover Conservation Areas in Halton Hills

Conservation Halton:
Five separate parks each offering a unique way to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, cross-country ski trails and rock climbing. Year round programs for children. Events include maple syrup festivals and guided nature events such as Bat Night and Owl Prowls. Features include water falls, Wildlife Centre, Iroquoian village and visitor centres. 905-336-1158

Credit Valley Conservation:
Hike, swim, fish, picnic, ski, canoe, windsurf, snowshoe, bird watch, or discover natural wonders. The Credit River Watershed provides a variety of opportunities to get out and enjoy the great outdoors while respecting the environment. Hamlet of Glen Williams Side Trail:
Visit Glen Williams, explore the shops and galleries in their Heritage buildings and hike the loop trail along the ridge on the east side of the valley. You will pass Indian burial mounds, and likely see a Fox or Pileated Woodpecker, not to mention an invigorating workout! The trail is approximately 3km.

Niagara Escarpment:
Halton Hills contains part of the Niagara Escarpment. Winding almost 800 km from Niagara to Tobermory, it was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 1990. Running through the escarpment is the Bruce Trail and associated side trails; Ontario's longest and most popular footpath, with endless recreational activities, surrounded by natural splendour... walking, hiking, cross country skiing, cycling, horseback riding, birdwatching, nature photography & painting expeditions. 905-877-5191
