    FIRST AID

    Defibrillator

      Defibrillator Training

    Do you use a Town of Halton Hills facility or sport field? Do you know where the AED is located. The Town of Halton Hills is offering Defibrillator Training to ensure that all persons using the town's facilities are aware of the Automated External Defibrillation (AED). This training will build on the skills learned in CPR and first aid courses. Learn when and how to operate an automated external defibrillator. This is a workshop only and not a certification.

    Child First Aid & CPR Trainin

      Infant/Child First Aid & CPR Training

    Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Training is designed for parents of infant and preschool children who are interested in first aid and CPR training. The course will provide simple tips and techniques for effectively managing the first few minutes of a medical emergency involving young children. Topics covered are - CPR techniques for infant & children, preventing the most common childhood injuries.

    Standard First Aid (SFA) provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in depth understanding of first aid including; legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat and cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns and other medical emergencies.

    Hands Reaching for the Sky

      P.L.A.Y (Promoting Leadership Amongst Youth)

    The P.L.A.Y Program (Promoting Leadership Amongst Youth) encourages participants to become leaders in their own lives. The focus of the program is personal growth through fun and challenging group activities and is both classroom-based and hands-on. Taking part in activities such as "challenge courses" and orienteering", youth will be introduced to topics such as teambuilding, communication, decision making, conflict resolution and self-awareness. The action-packed week is capped off by a hiking trip that is 100% planned and led by the participants.
