Acton Indoor Pool Mechanical Issues
The Acton indoor pool is currently experiencing mechanical issues, resulting in water temperatures that are noticeably cooler than normal. Our team is working hard to fix the issue. Because we are waiting on specific repairs, we anticipate this disruption will last approximately three weeks.
To ensure everyone stays comfortable, we’ve made the following updates to our schedule:

Cancelled: All swimming lessons, Bronze Star, and Aquafit classes are cancelled for the time being.

Open: Lane swim and leisure swim will continue as scheduled. You are still welcome to join us, but please be aware of the lower temperature before diving in!

Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross: These programs will run as scheduled, but the program instructor will focus on dry-land first aid skills. Participants may spend short periods of time in the water but will be given lots of opportunity to change and warm up.
Once repairs have been completed, we will reschedule all swimming lessons by extending the session to the end of June. If any classes cannot be rescheduled, customers will receive a credit for the cost of the missed class on their registration account. If you hold a swim membership and wish to put in on hold until the water temperature returns to normal, please contact a customer service representative at 905-877-4244 ext. 2700.

Seasonal Sports Field Closures |

Generally, all grass sports fields and diamonds open in April and are open until September. Outside of these dates, fields are closed for seasonal maintenance. This allows the fields to rest, especially during the wettest time of the year when the most damage can occur. During this time, park staff complete maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Please respect the sports field and diamond closures. Parks, trails, and outdoor spaces remain open for use. 2026 Field Dates:

Inclement Weather Policy for Recreation Programs
Program cancellations are actively updated online during normal weekday operating hours. Recreation facility closures due to inclement weather or other causes will be communicated in the following ways:

Monday to Friday after 4:30 p.m. and before 8:30 a.m., as well as Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays.
If your program is organized through a third party, please contact your leagues for updates. On business days when inclement weather occurs, closure and cancellation decisions will be made for daytime programs by 7:00 a.m. for programs that start at 9:00 am or later, and for evening programs by 2:00 pm. |
