We welcomed some of our new 2017 members who joined us for tea and goodies on Wednesday, Aug. 9th . They were given a run down on the Centre operation and activities that are available to them as members. The old expression “you get out what you put inti it” holds true for all of us whether new or old members.

To new members and old alike a great way to make new friends at the Centre is through Mingle and Chat. Come on out on Wednesday mornings around 10 and join in the fun. What do they do? Just as the title says “they mingle and chat about everything and anything”. Many of the world’s problems have been solved by this group.

Have you heard the new Jazz Quartet at the Centre? They practise Tuesday mornings. Music is out of this world. They are a newly formed group and are going to play for us at our fashion show in the fall. You won’t want to miss that!

If you are going to continue with Spanish classes or are interested in joining it is time to consider signing up. You can register through the Office.

We are going to host another Paint and Cocktail Party on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The cost is $35 per member or $40 non-member. This includes all supplies. A minimum number for the class is 12. Sign up and pay at Reception for this fun-filled chance to become another budding artist.

Bernie Bradner offers Q&A genealogy sessions on Friday mornings from 10 to 12. Participants have the opportunity to advance their genealogy experience. With his help you can solve road blocks and discover new research opportunities and sites.

Drop-in Q&A IPad sessions with Greg will resume Thursday, Sep. 20 and are held on the fourth Thursday of each month. Just drop in around 9:30 a.m

The new Hillsview magazine will be out last week of August. It contains important information and loads of different activities to take place in the fall session.

Remember August 30 is the time to register for your fall Active Living programs. See Sherry with your completed forms.
